Lamborghini wearing fake plate 'H4 RRY', actually 'F14 RRY'

Think H4RRY Has Done Well for Himself? Well 'HARRY' Isn't Fooling Anyone...

10th March 2025

If you saw a Lamborghini Urus with the plate H4RRY, you'd probably think Harry's done pretty well for himself. That plate sold for just £12,000 (plus fees and VAT) at a DVLA auction in June 1999, and today it would be worth over £100,000.

But in reality, the car in the photo actually has the much less valuable, and practically worthless, F14 RRY plate, which has been altered to look like the high-end H4RRY.

The truth behind the H4 RRY plate
'H4RRY' on Euston Road, London - the actual plate is F14 RRY

So how does Harry get away with it? The fine for incorrectly displaying a plate is only £100 the first time you're caught, but if you keep doing it, the DVLA can take the plate away for good.
