How Selling Works
1. Start Your Free Listing
Enter your registration and answer a few short questions. We will use your email address to create or connect your free account, allowing you to edit your asking price, manage your listing and mark the registration as sold.
2. Add Your Registration
We ask one question at a time: the registration, your asking price, whether you will consider offers, any optional details that may interest buyers, and your full legal name and email address. Your contact details will be used to send enquiries and important listing updates but will not be displayed publicly.
3. We Review It
Every listing is reviewed before publication. We check the registration format, seller details, asking price and whether it is already listed. We may request evidence of identity or entitlement where additional verification is needed.
4. Your Plate Goes Live
Once approved, your registration appears in our plates for sale results and on its own history timeline page, where buyers researching that plate will find it.
We will periodically ask you to confirm that the registration remains available. Listings that are not reconfirmed may be temporarily hidden until they are updated.
5. You Agree the Sale
Buyers submit enquiries through our site, which we forward to the email address connected to your account. You negotiate and agree the price directly with the buyer. There is no commission, no success fee and nothing deducted from your sale price.
6. Complete the Transfer Safely
Once you have agreed a price, we will provide guidance on payment and transferring the registration. Never send a buyer a photograph or scan of your V750 or V778 document, as its details could be used without your permission.

What You Need to Sell
The registration must be transferable and you must be entitled or authorised to advertise and transfer it. It may be assigned to an eligible vehicle, held on a valid V750 Certificate of Entitlement or held on a valid V778 Retention Document.
We may request photographic identification and evidence of your entitlement or authority before approving the listing or helping to complete a transfer. Fraudulent, misleading or unauthorised listings will be removed.
Setting Your Asking Price
You choose the public asking price and can update it whenever you want. Every listing must display a clear price – price-on-application listings are not accepted.
